Intermediate Heart Flow Yoga Course

HEART FLOW YOGA - 6 week courses for women
6 WEEK INTERMEDIATE-LEVEL COURSES, SUITABLE FOR EXPERIENCED, OPEN-HEARTED PRACTITIONERS SEEKING TO DEEPEN THEIR YOGA PRACTICE, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
These courses offer a grounding, heart-oriented blend of flowing Holistic Vinyasa Yoga and other Hatha Yoga techniques, Yoga philosophy and nature-based spirituality.
THURSDAY EVENINGS 6.45 - 8pm in central Exeter – next course starts Thu 10th Jan 2019 (dates are 10 / 17 / 24 / 31 Jan and 14 / 21st Feb – no class 7th Feb.) £55 for 6 x 75min classes – advance booking required & spaces limited * These unique and intimate, crafted 6 week courses are open to those with some yoga experience who would like the chance to commit to their yoga practice & knowledge in a deeper way and build on it each week (something which is hard to do in a drop-in class where there may be different newcomers & levels of experience from week to week).
In addition to the physical yoga practices, these classes will incorporate yoga philosophy & psychology from a range of sources, nature-based spirituality and guided relaxation/visualisations all relating to that week's theme, and each week you'll receive informative handouts, including asana sequences, to help you digest what we cover in the classes & give you inspiration for home practice.
This is an intermediate level course: you don't need to be superadvanced, but I will assume you are familiar with the kind of asanas & other Hatha techniques I teach (from the Krishnamacharya/Ashtanga/Iyengar/Vinyasa Flow/Holistic Devon School of Yoga traditions) so that we can focus more on flowing asana sequences and less on basic techniques/alignment.
Typically, classes will be more challenging & dynamic than you might find in a 1hr mixed level class, but the energy of the class will be very nurturing, heart-centred and supportive throughout! Sometimes the practices will be more slow & restorative, depending on the particular class theme, and also depending to some extent on the season.
Each 6 week course will be unique, but from course to course, we will revisit certain themes as well as exploring new ones, so the courses evolve in a spiralling/cyclical rather than purely linear way, allowing you to revisit & reinforce & deepen your knowledge & understanding as we progress – this is how I find the learning process works best! Each course will also vary according to the lunar & solar cycles, as weekly themes & the energy of the practices will also draw inspiration from these ever-changing seasons.
